Fysio- en manueel therapeut

Leon Adolfs

About Leon

For 23 years I have been working as a physical therapist, with the last 14 years as a manual therapist. My journey began in 2002, when I graduated as a physical therapist, and I earned my Master of Manual Therapy from SOMT in 2010. Over the years, I have specialized in the treatment of headaches, dizziness, neck-back and jaw disorders through various trainings. My passion for these complex conditions has driven me to take communication courses such as NLP and Connecting Communication, and various other courses such as dryneedling, Mckenzie, Mulligan, Watson and Craniofacial Therapy (CRAFTA).

It is challenging for me to work with patients who struggle with headaches, dizziness, jaw and spine complaints. As such, I work at the headache clinic for children and adults at Bovenij Hospital. The greatest moment in my career was when a patient had no more headaches after 40 years of headaches after only 4 treatments with our headache approach. Results like these are what make me happy every day.

At MCN, I was given the opportunity to develop into a specialist, and for that I am grateful to them. We are a close-knit group of therapists, each with our own specialization. Our mutual cooperation allows us to do a lot for our patients.

In addition to my work, I am also the father of two beautiful daughters and have a relationship with Marieke. In my free time, I enjoy playing padel and riding my motorcycle. I also enjoy spending time with my parents, who moved to Aruba.

In addition to the technical aspects of my work, I value connecting with my patients. By listening and communicating well, I want to get their needs clear so I can tailor my treatment accordingly. My motivation, loyalty and eagerness to learn encourage me to continually develop in physical therapy and manual therapy, with the goal of getting the most out of treatment for everyone.
