About Eveline

I have been working as a physical therapist for 6 years, with the last 3 years as a graduate pediatric physical therapist. I received my training as a physical therapist at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, after which I completed my master’s degree at the Hogeschool Utrecht. I further specialized in pediatric pelvic physical therapy and took additional courses such as “Physical Therapy and Developmental Disabilities in Children 0 to 2 Years of Age” and “Getting Started with Writing Together! Evidence-based group intervention for handwriting development in group 3 and 4”.

My passion lies in pediatric physical therapy, because I have always derived great satisfaction from working with children. I find it inspiring to guide the individual child, parents and environment with customized treatment plans. It is wonderful to watch a child grow, take steps and eventually move on independently.

I primarily help children ages 0-14, ranging from infants with motor development delays to school-aged children with gross and/or fine motor problems, and orthopedic complaints such as hip, knee or foot problems.

Working as a physical therapist is special to me because of the dynamics of children and their energy. Creativity and flexibility are important in diagnosis and treatment. No day is the same and it is wonderful to see how parents are often grateful for the help provided.

A special moment was when I accompanied a boy in rehabilitation after a broken pelvis. His mother told me how well he was doing and how he was enjoying life to the fullest again, thanks to our help and his own perseverance.

I chose to work at FysioMCN because I did an internship at this practice during my Bachelor’s and experienced a warm, close-knit atmosphere there. The team is fun and I get the opportunity to grow in my field.

In my free time, I enjoy playing sports such as ice skating and running, and spending time with family and friends in Amsterdam.
