Who your practitioner will be depends on:

  • Your own preference
  • Advice from the referring physician
  • the complaint you have: we have therapists/specialists, each with their own specialization. We try as much as possible to meet you with the therapist who has the most knowledge for your specific complaint
  • In addition, we take into account the practice location where you prefer to be treated.

We are also a training practice for several Colleges. This entails training physical therapists/remedial therapists in the practice. Sometimes a (partial) treatment can be given by a student. These are students who are in the final stages of training and will always treat under supervision. You may, of course, indicate if you object. We always take that into account.

It is possible to request home treatment. However, it is necessary that you have a referral letter from the family doctor or specialist stating that you need home treatment.

We have contracts with all insurers. Most treatments are covered by the supplementary insurance. It depends on your package how many treatments are covered per year. We recommend that you keep track of the number of treatments yourself! Especially if you have previously been treated at another practice (we cannot verify this and we are not allowed to inquire with your insurance company about this (due to privacy laws).

Should you not have supplemental insurance, you can find more about

Generally, about half an hour is set aside for a regular treatment. The treatment itself may be shorter or longer. It is also possible that the therapist may advise you to exercise yourself in the exercise room before or after treatment.

Consult with your therapist about options for treatment outside the times listed on the website.

If, for the complaints you have, an online consultation (by phone or video calling) is possible, an appointment for this can be made.

The practice is open Monday through Saturday. If the assistant is not available or unable to answer and you have an appointment with a therapist at that time, when you call you can choose the “urgent” option. In other cases, you can request a callback via our phone menu. You can also send an e-mail to info@fysiomcn.nl. It will be answered the next business day.

Note: For life-threatening symptoms or symptoms that do not allow you to wait you are always advised to call your doctor or 112.

If you are unable to attend, you are requested to cancel and/or reschedule the appointment at least 24 hours in advance. This can be done by phone, speaking on voicemail or via email(info@fysiomcn.nl).

Of course, that can always happen. We fully understand the various reasons why you could not attend and why you could not cancel in time.
Our therapists did reserve time and the treatment room for your treatment and cannot help someone else due to the late cancellation. A no-show bill will be sent to you for this. We may not claim these from insurance. Please note that this is not a fine but compensation for the income lost by us.

We take all complaints very seriously and would love to hear from you. We will make every effort to handle your complaint reasonably. You can make your complaint in several ways:

  • Discuss it with your treating therapist.
  • Call the practice and report your complaint so we can get back to you immediately.
  • Send an email to

    maatschap@fysiomcn.nl

    with the subject line “complaint.”
  • Ask for our complaint form or download it from our website.
  • We are affiliated with the official complaints procedure of the Society for Physical Therapy. If, in your opinion, the above options do not provide a sufficient solution, you can contact them. You can find more information here.
